The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations are set to begin on June 26.
All necessary preparations have been completed by the education boards. According to the Ministry of Education, if any region is affected by a natural disaster, only the exams under that specific board will be postponed. Exams under all other boards will continue as scheduled.
Usually, the HSC exams are held in April according to the regular academic calendar. However, due to the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic since 2020, the schedule has been altered. Following that trend, this year’s exams will start from June 26.
Khondaker Ehsanul Kabir, coordinator of the Inter-Education Board, said that during this time of year, many parts of the country experience flooding. In such cases, exams will be postponed only in the flood-affected areas, while examinations in other regions will proceed as planned.
He also mentioned that this year, a total of 1,251,111 students will take part in the HSC examinations.
