Nahida Parvin, Shah Alam Elected to Key Posts in Govt Bangla College Teachers’ Association

Nahida Parvin, Associate Professor of the Department of Mathematics, has been elected Secretary of the Government Bangla College Teachers’ Association for the 2025–2026 term. Md Shah Alam, Assistant Professor of the Department of Geography and Environment, has been elected Joint Secretary.
Prof Md Kamrul Hasan, Principal of Government Bangla College, will serve as the ex-officio President of the association.
Other elected members of the new executive committee include:
- Md Abdul Mukit, Lecturer, Department of Islamic Studies – Treasurer
- Hasan Ali, Lecturer, Department of Islamic History and Culture – Office Secretary
- Shaila Yasmin Priya, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry – Culture and Sports Secretary
Additionally, the following teachers have been selected as executive committee members:
- Prof Md Jaman Rizvy, Department of Accounting
- Tahiya Sarwar, Associate Professor, Department of Zoology
- Taniya Hasin, Assistant Professor, Department of Soil Science
The election was overseen by Prof Dr Mohammad Golam Rabbani of the Department of Accounting, who served as the Chief Election Commissioner. Khandker Md Redwanur Rahman, Associate Professor of the Department of English, and Kamrun Nahar, Associate Professor of the Department of Physics, acted as election commissioners.
