Severe flooding and landslides triggered by days of relentless rainfall have left at least 90 people dead across Vietnam, with 12 others still unaccounted for.
Government officials report widespread devastation, noting damage to roughly 186,000 homes and the loss of more than three million livestock. The financial toll is expected to reach hundreds of millions of pounds.
Dak Lak, a mountainous province, has suffered the heaviest losses, with over 60 fatalities recorded since 16 November, according to AFP.
The disaster follows a series of extreme weather events in recent months, including the back-to-back impacts of typhoons Kalmaegi and Bualoi, which have already strained communities across the country.
