Trump Orders Naval Blockade of Strait of Hormuz, Warns ‘Ready for Action Anytime’ Against Iran; Tehran Vows Retaliation and Threatens to Attack US Warships

WASHINGTON / ISLAMABAD — US President Donald Trump has warned that American forces will begin blocking all vessels entering or leaving the Strait of Hormuz.

He said the US Navy would also intercept ships accused of paying tolls to Iran, signaling a sharp escalation in maritime tensions.

Trump added that future arrangements could allow free movement of ships, but accused Iran of preventing such an agreement.

Iran Blames US for Failed Ceasefire Talks in Pakistan

Iran’s Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf has blamed the United States for the collapse of ceasefire negotiations held in Pakistan. He said US officials failed to build trust with the Iranian delegation, leading to the breakdown of talks after prolonged diplomatic engagement.

Trump Reiterates Claim That Iran Will Not Abandon Nuclear Program

Trump has once again accused Iran of refusing to abandon its nuclear ambitions. He stated that while some negotiation points were discussed, they were not enough to outweigh concerns over Iran acquiring nuclear weapons. The US president reaffirmed his position that Iran must never be allowed to obtain nuclear capability.

The US president also said American forces are “fully locked and loaded” and prepared to act against Iran at the “appropriate moment.” His remarks came shortly after the breakdown of high-level talks, raising concerns of possible renewed military escalation if diplomatic efforts fail.

Massive Damage Reported to Schools Across Iran

Trump Expands Warning: US to Blockade All Ships in Hormuz

Top US and Iranian Delegations Leave Islamabad After Failed Talks

Senior officials from both the United States and Iran have left Islamabad after marathon negotiations ended without an agreement.

Despite 21 hours of discussions, deep disagreements over nuclear issues, missile capabilities, and control of the Strait of Hormuz prevented any breakthrough, though lower-level diplomatic contacts are expected to continue.
