Iran’s Quds Force commander, Esmail Qaani, has appeared in public, dispelling recent reports of his death.
Videos circulating on social media reportedly show Qaani attending a rally in Tehran on Tuesday, celebrating Iran’s missile strike on US assets in Qatar.
The New York Times had earlier cited an Iranian source claiming Qaani was killed in an Israeli strike inside Iran.
However, his presence at the rally suggests otherwise.
Qaani took over leadership of the Quds Force in 2020 following the death of General Qasem Soleimani in a US drone strike.
