In observance of the holy month of Ramadan, a mobile court conducted market monitoring operations at various locations in Hathazari municipality, Chattogram.
The operation, led by Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Lutfur Nahar Sharmin, was carried out on Wednesday afternoon (March 5).
According to sources, three businesses were fined a total of Tk 9,000 for violations under the relevant sections of the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009.
Chaudhury Store was fined Tk 2,000, Bismillah Store Tk 2,000, and Al Insaaf Grocery Tk 5,000.
The mobile court drive was assisted by officials from the Hathazari Land Office and members of the Hathazari Model Police Station.
