Two employees from the Israeli embassy, a man and a woman, were shot and killed outside the Capital Jewish Museum in downtown Washington DC in United States.
The couple had just left an event focused on supporting people in Gaza when the attack happened.
Police have arrested the suspect, 30-year-old Elias Rodriguez. Authorities say he shouted "Free Palestine" while being taken into custody and are investigating whether the shooting is linked to terrorism.
According to Israel's embassy, the victims were shot at close range. Israel's Foreign Minister, Gideon Sa’ar, called the attack a "shocking terrorist act."
US President Donald Trump described the incident as "very sad" and said it was "clearly driven by antisemitism."
