E-Commerce Training Empowers Women Entrepreneurs in Jhenaidah

A daylong e-commerce training workshop was held at the Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila Parishad auditorium on Saturday, aiming to enhance the skills and digital presence of women entrepreneurs.
The event was organized by the government’s Tathya Apa Project to promote women’s empowerment and business growth in the digital marketplace.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sazal Kumar Das presided over the program, with Joint Secretary and Project Director Shahnaz Begum Nina attending as the chief guest. Deputy Project Director (DPD) SM Nazimul Islam was present as a special guest.
Several Tathya Apa officials from different upazilas, including Tania Sultana (Kotchandpur), Hira Khatun (Jhenaidah Sadar), Indina Qadir (Shailkupa), Ayesha Khatun (Moheshpur), Popi Rani Roy (Kaliganj), and Shamim Akter (Harinakundu), along with assistants Mahmuda Rahman and Sanjita Rahman, also took part in the event.
According to the organizers, 50 women entrepreneurs participated in the workshop, gaining essential e-commerce skills to expand their businesses in the online marketplace.
The training is expected to strengthen their digital capabilities, boost self-reliance, and enhance their role in the growing digital economy.
