5 Skeletons Stolen from Graves in Bhola

A shocking incident of grave robbery occurred in Daulatkhan, Bhola, where unidentified miscreants dug up and stole five skeletons under the cover of darkness.

The crime took place in the early hours of Saturday (February 8) at the Mir family graveyard, located beside Kamal Patwari Bari Jame Mosque in Uttar Joynagar Union’s Ward No. 7.

The incident has left local residents in a state of fear and anxiety.

The desecrated graves belonged to Latif Howlader, Hajera Begum, and Abul Khayer, all residents of the area. The identities of the other two deceased remain unknown.

According to local resident Nur Soleman, the Mir family graveyard houses more than 50 graves, and the discovery of five graves being excavated and looted has sent shockwaves through the community.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Daulatkhan Police Station, Zillur Rahman, stated that police visited the scene upon receiving reports of the theft.

Authorities have launched an investigation to identify those responsible, and legal action will be taken against the perpetrators once they are apprehended.
