Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government in Bangladesh, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Summit in Bangkok on April 4.
During this summit, Yunus and Modi may have an official meeting. The Secretary-General of BIMSTEC, Indra Mani Pandey, confirmed this during a briefing on the summit in Gulshan-2 on Tuesday (January 11).
Pandey mentioned that Yunus will attend the BIMSTEC summit in Bangkok on April 4, where he may meet Narendra Modi. However, it remains uncertain whether a bilateral meeting will take place between the two leaders, as it depends on both countries. Although details about a potential Dhaka-Delhi summit were not confirmed, Foreign Affairs Adviser Touhid Hossain has confirmed Yunus's attendance in Bangkok.
