Youth-Led Political Party ‘National Citizens Party’ to Launch on Friday
A new political party, the National Citizens Party (NCP), is set to be officially launched on Friday.
The initiative is spearheaded by the National Citizens Committee and the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
According to sources, Nahid Islam has been finalized as the convener of the youth-led party, while Akhtar Hossain will serve as the member secretary.
Other key leadership positions have also been confirmed:
Nasiruddin Patwari as the chief coordinator
Samanta Sharmin as the senior joint convener
Hasnat Abdullah as the chief organizer for the southern regiona
Sarjis Alam as the chief organizer for the northern region
Abdul Hannan Masud as a joint coordinator
Saleh Uddin Sifat as the office secretary
However, the positions of senior joint convener and senior joint member secretary remain undecided due to multiple candidates vying for the roles.
The party’s official launch event will take place on Friday afternoon at Manik Mia Avenue in Dhaka, where the leadership lineup will be formally announced.
