Visitor Entry to Secretariat Not Allowed Tuesday

The Ministry of Home Affairs in Bangladesh has prohibited all types of visitor entry to the Secretariat on Tuesday (May 27).
The decision comes amid ongoing protests by employees of various ministries and departments against the approval of the "Public Service (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025."
The Public Security Division of the ministry issued a statement Monday night, stating that due to unavoidable circumstances, no visitors will be allowed into the Secretariat on Tuesday.
Relevant authorities have been requested to take necessary steps in this regard, it added.
Monday marked the third consecutive day of protests, with government employees blocking the main entrance of the Secretariat.
The demonstrators, under the banner of the "Bangladesh Secretariat Officers and Employees Unity Forum," have vowed to continue their protests and announced plans for further rallies on Tuesday.
They have also called upon government employees outside the Secretariat, across the country, to stage similar demonstrations in their respective offices in solidarity with the movement.
