Six Coastal Regions Advised to Hoist Signal No. 2 Due to Strong Winds

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has advised river ports in six regions of the country to hoist Warning Signal No. 2 until this afternoon.
River ports in other areas have been asked to display Cautionary Signal No.1.
This weather forecast was issued for inland river ports up to 1 PM on Thursday (May 29).
According to the bulletin, temporary gusty or squally winds accompanied by rain or thunderstorms may blow at 60–80 km/h from the south or southeast over the regions of Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Chattogram, and Cox's Bazar. River ports in these areas have been asked to display Warning Signal No. 2.
For other regions, temporary gusty or squally winds at 45–60 km/h from the south or southeast, accompanied by rain or thunderstorms, are expected. River ports in those regions have been advised to display Cautionary Signal No. 1.
