
The second phase of the 58th World Ijtema began on Monday, February 3, at the banks of the Turag River in Tongi, Gazipur.
The phase kicked off after Fajr prayers with an inaugural sermon by prominent Tablighi Jamaat leader, Maulana Zubair. This phase is led by followers of Maulana Zubair, a key figure in the Tablighi Jamaat.
The second phase of the Ijtema sees participants from 22 districts across Bangladesh, including areas like Jatrabari, Keraniganj, Munshiganj, Jamalpur, Sylhet, Tangail, and many others. In addition, a separate tent has been set up for international guests. The event will run from February 3 to February 5, culminating in the final prayer, or Akheri Munajat, on February 5.
Earlier, from January 31 to February 2, the first phase of the Ijtema was completed with Maulana Zubair's followers, involving participants from 41 districts.
The second phase is expected to be followed by the third phase, starting on February 14, which will be led by the followers of Maulana Saad Kandhlawi. This phase will conclude with the Akheri Munajat on February 16.
