Rajshahi Judge's Son Killing: Accused Limon's statement created huge sensation
Limon Mia, the alleged killer of Taosif Rahman Sumon (16) son of Mohammad Abdur Rahman, Rajshahi Metropolitan and Session Judge, has claimed to the Journalists that the incident is full of “ Topsy-turvy and Fabricated” and said he is actually “a victim of erroneous personal relationship.”
He informed that he was maintaining a relationship with Tasmin Nahar Luchi, wife the Judge, for the last five years.
Limon Mia (Armed Forces Member Number-1232809) claimed himself as a retired Armed Forces Member. He is the son of H M Sulaiman who was former Panel Chairman of Fulchhari Upazila of Gaibandha and Organising Secretary of BNP. His father is now a businessman and locally a member of Zia Cyber Force of Gaibandha district committee, Limon claimed.
Journos at the hospital recorded the statement of Limon which turned viral on the social media.
According to the statement of Limon he was introduced with Tasmin Nahar in a programme of the Quantum Foundation. For the first one year, he did not pay attention to the proposal to establish any relation with Tasmin but later it developed gradually.
He said, “Tasmin did not agree to marry and said she would marry later on. But, I was afraid thinking her as the wife of a Judge who would intricate me to the cases.”
According to Limon, Tasmin earlier developed a relation for a long time with a person named Masud.
He added, he went to the house of Tasmin Naher recently with Roses, Peanut and the Popcorn. According to Limon, “ Husband of Tasmin once called me through the Messenger and said show me the proof. When I went there, he assaulted me by the students of Shahjalal University.” Later, I was handed over to the police where he was stranded for 24-hour. He was later granted bail from the court. Earlier, he claimed, he was sentenced to jail for one day in Sylhet.
According to the statement of Liom, he went to meet Tasmin on the day of the incident. But, the situation suddenly turned out of control.
He said,” I went there only to talk to her. He informed police from the next room. I became angry when the door was broken. He has the knife in his hand and there was one or two stabbing on the hand. His son challenged and started to beat me, to save myself I bite on the leg of the son. I did not hit him on the head or on the stomach- it is unlikely that he is dead.”
He said, he cannot remember what happened after the incident. He claimed, “ Now everything have been turned down, I have been made the killer.”
He further said, “ There are proofs of our five-year relation. If you check the call list of my Airtel number, you would get the record of talking to her for hours. The Certificate of my Armed Forces and the Certificate of the Quota Movement of July ’24 are also inside her bag.”
Praying for justice, Limon said, “If I am the accused, I should be condemned to death-Alhamdulillah. But, it they are the accused, they should be punished. I only want the people of the country should learn the fact.”
In a last message, to Luchi, Limon said, “ Luchi, you shoot and kill me but to the last of my breath I will say- I love you. I you condemned me to death- Alhamdulillah- I have won the death.”
Regarding the statement of Limon, Police said- the investigation of the murder is continuing and the authenticity of statement of Limon would be testified. “ Personal relationship or any other causes, every corners are under investigation.”
Police further said, “ The authenticity of statement of the accused is marred with confusion. That is why it should not be correct to publish those in media directly.
Taosif Rahman Sumon, son of Mohammad Abdur Rahman, Judge of Rajshahi Metropoplitan and Session Judge’s Court, was stabbed to death by the assailant in his resident.
Tasmin Nahar Luchi, wife of the Judge, was also injured seriously during the incident and the attacker Limon was also injured and caught by the local people. Later the injured were admitted to the hospital.
