Amid ongoing tensions with India over the Kashmir issue, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has postponed his upcoming visit to Dhaka.
The schedule of the visit will be finalized later based on discussions between the two countries.
Sources said Ishaq Dar was scheduled to visit Dhaka for a two-day trip starting Sunday, April 27. The date was finalized on April 17 during the Dhaka visit of Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch.
The visit was considered a significant development in the relationship between the two countries. It would have marked the first visit by a Pakistani Foreign Minister to Bangladesh in the last 13 years.
