Dhaka, April 21, 2025 — North South University (NSU) inaugurated its 16th Architectural Exhibition 2025, a vibrant academic showcase by first-year architecture students, on Monday.
The event, featuring works from students of Level 1, Term 1, will be open to visitors from April 22 to April 25 between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM at the university's Exhibition Hall.
Prof. Dr. Abdur Rob Khan, Treasurer and Pro-Vice Chancellor (in-charge), officially opened the exhibition. Among the distinguished guests were NSU Registrar Dr. Ahmed Tazmeen, Proctor Dr. Abdul Khaleque, and Project Director Mushtaque Habib. The ceremony was hosted by Prof. Dr. Shazzad Hosain, Dean of the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences (SEPS), alongside Ar. Shahriar Iqbal Raj, Chair of the Department of Architecture.
The exhibition presents a curated collection of student projects from the ARC 111 course, highlighting the foundational skills and creative potential of budding architects. These early academic works illustrate students’ conceptual development, analytical thinking, and imaginative interpretations within the field of architecture.
“This exhibition is a testament to the creative energy and design sensibilities of our first-year students,” remarked a faculty representative. “It also reaffirms the university’s commitment to nurturing architectural excellence from the very beginning.”
Open to students, professionals, educators, and architecture enthusiasts, the exhibition invites all to explore and engage with the innovative ideas shaping the next generation of architects.
