NSU Architecture Dept Hosts Interactive Event to Boost Student Engagement

Dhaka, Bangladesh – The Department of Architecture at North South University (NSU) recently hosted an interactive event titled "Meet the Department Office – Share Your Thoughts", aimed at fostering open dialogue and strengthening the connection between students and faculty.
Chaired by Shahriar Iqbal Raj, the session created a welcoming environment where students could share their experiences, voice concerns, and express appreciation for the department staff.
The event highlighted student achievements in design competitions, academic research, and international internship programs. Several students shared positive experiences from internships in Malaysia, including collaborations with Dr. Tan Lukman.
Motivated by this success, the department announced plans to expand similar opportunities to Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and Singapore in the coming semester.
A major highlight was the department's recent recognition at ARCIAM 2025, which brought pride to both students and faculty.
During the event, the Department Chair also presented the Annual Report, outlining the year’s academic accomplishments, extracurricular activities, and future goals.
Among the achievements was a thesis project by Faria Hossain, which earned multiple awards from Nippon, BSRM, and KSRM, reaffirming the department’s commitment to excellence.
Additionally, the department reported conducting 24 research-related activities in the previous semester alone, showcasing significant student involvement. This reflects the department’s culture of collaborative academic inquiry and innovation.
A dedicated session during the event allowed students to openly discuss academic and administrative challenges. The Chair reassured students of the department's dedication to active listening, resolving issues, and continuously improving the academic experience.
