Eid-ul-Fitr: 9 Days of Govt Holidays Declared

The government has extended the holidays for its employees this year in celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Initially, a five-day holiday had been announced for the occasion, but now, an additional day has been declared through an executive order.

In a meeting of the Advisory Council held on Thursday (March 20), it was decided that April 3 will also be a holiday. As a result, government employees will enjoy a continuous break from March 28 to April 5.

Depending on the moon sighting, Eid-ul-Fitr may be celebrated on March 31.
