The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced a series of nationwide political programmes starting February 11, aiming to press for government action on key issues such as the rising cost of essential commodities and the state of law and order.
At a press conference held at the party’s central office in Nayapaltan on Saturday, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed outlined the initiative.
He stated that rallies and public gatherings will be held in every district, followed by similar programmes in metropolitan and divisional cities.
Senior BNP leaders, including members of the Standing Committee, will participate in these events, he added. The detailed schedule and the list of participating leaders will be shared with the media soon. All programmes are expected to conclude before Ramadan.
A statement issued by the BNP Media Cell mentioned that these programmes are intended to amplify public demands, including curbing the rising prices of daily essentials, ensuring law and order, restoring democracy through fair elections, and resisting conspiracies against democratic movements.
