To ensure seamless and quality service for Bangladeshi pilgrims, the government is setting up Hajj Management Centers both in Bangladesh and in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.
These centers will provide a range of services including support for lost luggage, medical emergencies, resolving complaints, answering queries, and offering important information.
A dedicated mobile app is being introduced to monitor and assist pilgrims in real time—from Dhaka to Saudi Arabia. Through this app, each pilgrim will be under continuous supervision and care throughout the pilgrimage.
Additionally, this year’s pilgrims will not need to carry physical cash. Instead, they will be provided with a debit card for all financial transactions. To make communication easier and more affordable, the government is also introducing low-cost roaming services so pilgrims can use their Bangladeshi SIM cards on Saudi networks.
Another major feature includes luggage tracking, allowing pilgrims to locate and monitor their baggage via the app and the management center.
According to the Islamic lunar calendar, the Hajj is expected to take place on June 5, subject to moon sighting.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, these services will soon be officially inaugurated by Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
In a special interview, Religious Affairs Adviser A F M Khalid Hossain shared these updates and insights regarding the upcoming Hajj services.
