A total of 45 millimeters of rainfall was recorded in the capital in the last 24 hours, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
The Met office has also forecast that rain may continue today (Wednesday) in Dhaka and its adjoining areas.
In its six-hour forecast from 7:00 am on Wednesday (July 9), the Met office said the sky over Dhaka and surrounding regions may remain cloudy to overcast, with chances of light rain.
The day temperature is expected to remain similar to that of the previous day.
The temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 25.0 degrees Celsius, with a humidity level of 98 percent at 6am today.
Maximum temperature was recorded at 28 degrees Celsius yesterday, while today’s minimum temperature has been recorded at 24.9 degrees Celsius.
