36 Bangladeshis Detained After Attempting to Enter Malaysia on a Tourist Visa

The Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) detained 36 Bangladeshis at Kuala Lumpur Airport on Tuesday (March 18) for attempting to enter Malaysia on a tourist visa.
In addition, nine Pakistanis were also detained alongside the Bangladeshis.
According to a statement from AKPS, a raid was carried out at an entrance of the airport to investigate the documents of 115 foreign nationals. Among them, 36 Bangladeshis and nine Pakistanis failed to meet the entry requirements for Malaysia.
Furthermore, 15 additional Bangladeshis were detained the previous day while attempting to enter the country, falsely claiming to be cricketers.
