Former national captain and Bangladesh’s first Test centurion, Aminul Islam Bulbul, has been appointed as the new president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
The decision followed a letter from the National Sports Council (NSC), after which Bulbul was formally approved as a director in a BCB board meeting. He was then nominated to fill the vacant position of president.
Alongside his appointment, Nazmul Abedeen Fahim has been named Senior Vice President, while Fahim Sinha has been appointed Vice President. This leadership reshuffle comes after the NSC revoked the nomination of former BCB president and director Faruk Ahmed.
Speaking after taking charge, Bulbul said, “I want to lead Bangladesh cricket from the front. It’s not just about the eleven players on the field — we will function as a complete team. I’ve always believed that actions speak louder than words. Just as a bowler cannot perform alone without proper fielding and support, leadership also requires teamwork.”
